Under the Zhacang and Jikang Grand Halls, there are eight major Kangshen statues, namely Dongwang, Zhaya, Duoke, Jidi, Xiangcheng, Zhuo, Yangtang, and Rongba, representing eight petals of lotus flowers, symbolizing the separation of the holy land of Songzanlin Temple from the world, cleanliness, and auspiciousness. Kangcan "in Tibetan means" monastic community ", which refers to the division of large temple monks into several groups based on their place of origin or origin, forming a regional organization of dioceses. Kangcan is presided over by an old monk and has administrative staff such as Nianwa and Gegan, who manage the administrative, religious, and economic affairs of the diocese relatively independently. Kangcan is a monastic organization from different dioceses, which was an important component of the integration of politics and religion before the democratic reform. The current Kangcan is a gathering place for fallen monks led by the democratic management committee of the temple to recite scriptures.

Kangshen's architecture is different from the main hall, as it has a flat roof.
